Justiça e Redes Sociais

Talvez tenha reparado no trabalho seguinte do NYT porque recentemente tinha sabido da inicitiva da APDSI Pequeno almoço-Negócios 2.0, e pensei que, quem sabe!,  poderia estar aqui mais um ponto de partida para  uma futura conversa. E assim sendo, registe-se para tomar lugar:

In some cases, the flood of digital information has overwhelmed investigators. False tips, now easier to submit anonymously, send the police on more wild goose chases. Meanwhile, these new types of evidence are forcing judges to make tough calls about how best to ensure impartiality and what limits to put on jurors’ free speech rights.
“We all have a Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate ourselves,” said Lori B. Andrews, a social media expert and law professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law of the Illinois Institute of Technology, who maintains that social media is creating novel threats to the right to a fair trial.
